Powder Puff is the term used to describe the otherwise male dominated sport of football. Typically, the gender roles are reversed, which places the girls on the field and the guys on the sidelines cheering them on. Funds from the event are often used to pay for expenses of a homecoming dance or another special event.
The term "Powder Puff" was created during the time when ladies would frequently remove their makeup bag to "powder" their noses.
Pepperell High School is hosting our 2nd annual Powder Puff game this year. All grade levels will be competing against each other to see which team will earn the title of Powder Puff champions. All funds raised from the event will be donated to the 25th annual Salvation Army Can-a-Thon. The Can-a-Thon raises money and cans to help the needy throughout the metro Atlanta area.
