Ambition
Ambition drives the people of the world today.  There are two types of ambition.  There is the good kind that drives people towards their goals, then there is the evil ambition.  This is the kind that causes greed and corruption.  The best example of this kind of ambition comes from Shakespeare’s play, Macbeth.  Macbeth’s ambition for power drove him to murdering a king, his good friend, and an innocent family.  In the end, however,  his ambition led to his own demise.

Good ambition has helped to place people on a high level.  People that have used good ambition are Mother Theresa, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and even colonial people had good ambitions when they came to America.

Good ambition can drive you toward great things and evil ambition is brief and miserable.

Power of Prayer
            One day during a war there were soldiers encamped outside a city.  They needed to get that city’s flag down before jet bombers came over the city and killed them all.  One by one soldiers went out to bring down the flag and were shot down.  They turned to one boy and asked him to go out.  He said he would at four o’ clock.  They pleaded with him over and over to go sooner since they didn’t know when the bombers would come.  He sat and at four o’ clock he got up, walked outside and took the flag down and went back to the tent.  When his superiors asked him why he waited until four o’ clock he replied, “Everybody at four, my mom and all my family and friends, pray for me.  So I knew that at four God would protect me from enemy fire and see me safely back.”

This goes to show that through prayer anything is possible.
